Greenroad Launches Driver Safety App

Austin-based Greenroad, a developer of fleet management and safety applications, has launched a new driver safety app called Drive, which it says helps drivers reduce their risk of accidents by as much as 70 percent. According to Greenroad, it uses a "Siri-like" app which makes drivers more conscious of driver errors, to help reduce accidents, for example, flagging hot spots for accidents and suggests driving styles to help lower the possibility of an accident. The company said the utility is already being used by electric and gas utility firm National Grid, among others. The app runs on iOS and Android.
