Kodiak Networks Acquired By Motorola Solutions
Plano-based Kodiak Networks, a developer of broadband, push-to-talk (PTT) communications services aimed at the public safety market, has been acquired by Motorola Solutions, Motorola said on Monday. Financial details of the acquisition were not announced. Kodiak develops systems which let public safety customers, such as fire departments and law enforcement, use commercial LTE, Wi-Fi, and 3G for their push-to-talk communications (PTT), rather than more traditional radio systems. Motorola Solutions is a major provider of those traditional radio systems. Kodiak was founded in 2001.
