Rackspace Buys TriCore Solutions

San Antonio-based Rackspace said on Thursday that it has agreed to acquire Tricore Solutions, a provider of outsourced management of enterprise application such as Oracle and SAP. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed, however, Rackspace said the acquisition is the largest in its history. Rackspace said the deal allows it to expand into enterprise application management in the areas of ERP, business intelligence and analytics, and data warehousing and integration. Tricore was based in Norwell, Mass., and also has employees in Berwyn, Pennsylvania, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, along with Gurgaon and Hyderabad, India.
