Houston One Of Three Cities Where You Can Now Tip On Uber

Wishing you could tip that really good driver you got on Uber? The on-demand ridesharing service (which has been working through some major corporate issues this week), said earlier this week that it would start allowing customers to tip their driver in-app, starting with Houston, Seattle, and Minneapolis. As of Tuesday, riders in Houston have been able to tip their Uber drivers if they wanted to, from within the app. Uber said that the in-app tipping will initially be available in those three cities so it can "get the experience right" before rolling out to every U.S. city by the end of July. The tipping is part of an effort by Uber to become more driver- and employee-friendly, even as its CEO, Travis Kalanick, was ousted by investors this week.
