Trend Micro Launches $100M Venture Capital Investment Fund

Dallas-based cybersecurity software developer Trend Micro announced this morning that it has launched its very own, $100M venture capital investment fund. Trend Micro said the new fund will focus on investing in startups in emerging technology areas like the Internet of Things (IoT). Trend Micro said that working with the investments will help the company uncover insights into emerging ecosystem opportunities, disruptive business models, market gaps and skillset shortages, which it says will help influence its cybersecurity solution planning across the company.
