SoftNAS Rolls New Release
Houston-based network attached storage (NAS) software developer SoftNAS has rolled out a new release of its software, saying it has boosted speeds of the software by up to 400 percent. The SoftNAS product is used by companies to migrate traditional, network attached storage within an enterprise to use the public cloud, while hiding the latency and complexity of the public cloud from users. SoftNAS says its product works with AWS S3 and Azure Blob storage. The company said it now offers up 1TB, 20TB, and up to one petabyte versions of its service. The company is targeting companies looking to replace aging NAS, SAN and file servers with cloud storage.
