HomeAway Launches Effort To Help Harvey Evacuees
Austin-based HomeAway is chipping in to help Harvey evacuees find a place to stay, saying it as launched a new effort to connect Hurricane Harvey evacuees with temporary housing. According to HomeAway, generous select vacation rental owners have made rental properties in Texas and surrounding states available for free or reduced cost to those in need of Harvey after the devastating floods. HomeAway said vacation rental owners and managers wishing to donate and discount their properties can contact the company, and that it has started listing those properties to people needing housing. HomeAway also said it will waive all service fees for those homes.
