SparkCognition Wins Military Deal In UK

Austin-based artificial inteligence software developer SparkCognition has sored a deal to help investigate the role of artificial intelligence in future warfare, in a deal with the British Army, the company said today. Terms of the consulting engagement were not announced. SparkCognition said its Defense team will consult with the British Army on the role of machine learning in military applications and contribute to research on future military planning. SparkCognition is a developer of AI-based software aimed at risk mitigation and other similar areas, and is venture backed by $32.5M in funding from Verizon Ventures and Boeing. The company's CEO is Amir Husain.
