SparkCognition Takes $56.5M Total Funding In Series B
Austin-based artificial intelligence developer SparkCognition said this morning that it has officially closed its $56.5M, Series B funding round. The initial tranche of that round had been announced in June of 2017, to the tune of $32.5M. The funding was led by Verizon Ventures, and also included The Boeing Company (via Boeing HorizonX), ME Ventures, Brevan Howard Investment Holdings Limited, Invenergy Future Fund, plus former Cisco exec John Chambers (former CEO and Executive Chairman) and Pankaj Patel (former Cisco EVP and Chief Development Officer). SparkCognition also said an un-named, "American global financial services company", participated in the funding. SparkCognition's founder and CEO is Amir Husain. More information »
