Ericsson Looks To Hire 80 At New ASIC Design Site In Austin
Electronics company Ericsson said on Thursday that it is planning to hire nearly 80 designers in Austin, at a new ASIC design center in the city, to work on microelectronics for its 5G radio base stations. According to Ericsson, the new Ericsson Austin ASIC Design Center will focus on microelectronics and accelerating the path to 5G commercialization. The company said it is actively recruiting for engineers to work on its Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) designs in Austin, which are the core of all of its radio systems.
