vXchnge Buys Data Center In Austin

Data center operator vXchnge said today that it has acquired a data center and campus in Austin, as part of an expansion in the region. According to vXchnge, it acquired a 100,000-square-foot data center and surrounding 18-acre campus, which it says has the capacity to grow to 26 megawatts of power. The company did not say how much it spent to purchase the data center. vXchnge is based in Tampa, Florida. The company said it made the expansion to Austin due to "robust" projected forecasts for the Austin marketplace.
