CyrusOne Plans New Data Center Campus In Allen

Dallas-based data center operator CyrusOne is planning to build out yet another data center campus in North Texas, this time with a new datacenter in Allen. According to the company, the data center project will initially include a data center with 340,000 square feet, and will eventually include two more data centers with a total of 100 megawatts of available power. The company said it will start construction on the first datacenter in October. CyrusOne said the new datacenter will bring its total space in Texas to over 1.7 million square feet. The company said the growth in the area comes due to the strong market in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Allen is just north of Dallas.
