ECS Learning Systems Acquired By Asteria Education, Backed By $4M Funding

Bulverde, Texas-based ECS Learning Systems, a family owned developer of test-prep materials for the state of Texas, has been acquired by Austin-based Asteria Education, a stealth mode startup in the education market. According to finance provider Business Capital, it provided $4M in funding to Asteria Education for the acquisition. Asteria Education is led by CEO David Cumberbatch, and says it is rolling out at SxSWEdu 2018.
