Post Harvey, Samsung Remakes Tech Centers For Boys & Girls Club In Houston
Samsung Electronics America, the U.S. arm of Samsung, has helped to remake the technology centers at two, Boys & Girls Clubs in Houston, with help to a third center, in the wake of Hurricane Harvey. Samsung said that it has unveiled brand new Tech Center makeovers in its Spring Branch and Stafford Clubs, with donations of laptops, tablets, and televisions--a total of over $300,000--as part of a larger, $1,000,000 gift to the Houston community to help in hurricane recovery. The upgrades also included new flooring, furniture, and fixtures for the centers, which are focused on STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) education. Samsung also is helping with equipment at the Boys & Girls Club in Galveston.
