Meta SaaS Acquired By Flexera

Austin-based Meta SaaS, a developer of software used to manage software-as-a-service (SaaS) spending, has been acquired by Illinois-based Flexera. Financial details of the buy were not announced. According to Flexera, it will rebrand Meta SaaS under the new name, Flexera SaaS Manager. Meta SaaS developed software which helps discover what different software-as-a-service applications are in use in an enterprise, in order to uncover "hidden" use of those subscriptions, so that those companies can consolidate those subscriptions, reduce security and compliance risks, and also eliminate unauthorized use of those cloud services by employees.
