Indeed Focuses On Skills, Not Resumes With New Service

Austin-based job search site Indeed said today that it has launched a brand new service, which focuses on skills--not resumes--to help democratize the hiring process. According to the company, its new service, Indeed Assessments, allows employers to screen candidates based on skills related to their open jobs, rather than just relying on a resume. The new service is an outgrowth of Indeed's 2017 acquisition of Interviewed, a San Francisco startup which offered up a software product which quizzed potential employees on their skills and provided skills assessment tools.
