Strangeworks Secures $4M For Quantum Computing Software
Austin-based Strangeworks, which is developing software for the "quantum computing" market, said this morning that it has raised $4M in a seed funding round. The funding was led by Lightspeed Venture Partners, and also included Ecliptic Capital, GreatPoint Ventures, Lux Capital, BoxGroup and Amplify Partners, plus angels Bob Beauchamp (BMC Software), Charles Stonehill (Julius Baer Group AG and AXA Equitable Holdings), plus Jon Soberg. Strangeworks is led by CEO William Hurley, who previously founded Honest Dollar. According to Strangeworks, will design and deliver tools for software developers and researchers, and systems management infrastructure for IT administrators and CIOs in the quantum computing market.
