Whole Foods, Amazon To Extend Prime Discounts Nationwide Wednesday

Austin-based Whole Foods Market and Amazon said this morning that they will extend special discounts to Amazon Prime members to all of Whole Foods stores nationwide, starting on Wednesday. Whole Foods--which is owned by Amazon--had been slowly rolling out those discount programs to stores in various states. The discounts cover both the Whole Foods Market and Whole Foods Market 36 stores. Whole Foods has been offering up special prices on specific items only to Amazon Prime members, plus an additional 10 percent across what it says are "hundreds" of sale items throughout Whole Foods. The two had started rolling out the discounts in May.
