Idera Buys Software Developer Whole Tomato

Houston-based software developer Idera has acquired Whole Tomato, a developer of software used by C++ develops in Visual Studio, the company announced this morning. Financial details of the acquisition were not announced. According to Idera, the deal will expand its Embarcadero product, helping with application development capabilities. Whole Tomato develops the Visual Assist productivity tool for C++ developers in Visual Studio. Idera said that Whole Tomato become part of its Developer Tools businesses, which already includes Embarcadero and Sencha. Whole Tomato was based in Sarasota, Florida.
