TaskUs Raises $250M In Giant Funding Round
Business outsourcing service provider TaskUs--which has major operations in both San Antonio and Dallas--said this morning that it has raised $250M in an investment round. The investment came from private equity investor Blackstone Group. According to TaskUs, the funding round values the company at $500M. The company, founded by Bryce Maddock and Jaspar Weir, made a mjor move to San Antonio in April of 2017, where both of its two founders now reside. TaskUs said that the company will continue to be led by CEO Bryce Maddock, along with Weir and the existing management team. TaskUs has made its name providing much of the back end customer service and business process outsourcing for many, on-demand and Internet companies, across the ride sharing, social media, online food delivery, e-commerce and other areas. The company has most of its 11,000 employees overseas.
