Sencha Aims At Hobbyists, Students With Free Edition
Sencha, which develops cross-platform application development tools, is hoping to increase the popularity of its software with developers, through a new, free edition of its JavaScript framework. According to Sencha, it has debuted Ext JS Community Edition, a free edition of its JavaScript tools for hobbyists, startups, and students. Sencha said the new software ill be available for free to individuals and organization with less than $10,000 in revenue, or under five developers. Sencha's tools are used for developing applications using JavaScript, and provides pre-built user interface (UI) components, themes, and other tools. Sencha is owned by Houston-based Idera.
