Offerpad Expands In Houston
Real estate startup Offerpad, which lets home sellers enter their address and says it will provide an offer on their home within 24 hours, says it is expanding into Houston, after its launch late last year into Texas. The startup--based in Phoenix, Arizona--said it is now open in Houston and surrounding cities, and plans to shortly open up in San Antonio. Offerpad launched its services in Dallas-Fort Worth in November. The company said it has opened up offices in The Woodlands, as part of its expansion in the state. Offerpad's service lets home buyers submit their properties for an offer, requesting specific repairs to a home, and charging a fee for that sale; the company says the advantage of its service is that there's no need to show the home to strangers, no worries about the cost of owning two homes, ability to pick your own closing date, and other advantages.
