Anaconda Taps Red Hat Veteran For Sales, Marketing Efforts
Austin-based machine learning software developer Anaconda has tapped a veteran of Red Hat to head up its sales and marketing efforts, the company said this morning. According to Anaconda, it has named Ken Hoffman, the former Vice President of Emerging Technologies at Red Hat, to serve as both Chief Revenue Officer and Senior Vice President of Marketing at the company. Anaconda said Hoffman also previously served at FuseSource and Optaros. Anaconda--which changed its name to the name of its flagship product last year from what was Continuum Analytics, is venture backed by General Catalyst Partners and BuildGroup, among others. The company's Anaconda software runs on top of the popular Python language, and is used to visualize and analyze "big data".
