Xenex Says UV Robot Effective Agains Dangerous Fungus
San Antonio-based Xenex, which develops robotic, ultraviolet (UV) disinfection technology, says its robots are effective against a rising "superbug", which has been causing problems internationally. According to Xenex, its LightStrike Robot has proven effective at destroying the deadly superbug Candida auris, a fungus which the company says the CDC calls a "serious global health threat". The company said a new study, published by the Netcare Hospital Group in South Africa, found its mobile disinfection robots have been proven effective on C. auris.
