Report: Riot Ventures Seeks $75M

Riot Ventures, a venture capital fund with offices in Boston and Los Angeles, says it has launched an effort to raise $75M in a venture capital fund, which it says is its second fund. According to Techcrunch, the fund would be the firm's second, saying that the firm had raised $10M in its first fund. A regulatory filing by the company indicates it started raising $25M in a fund in April of 2017, but never reported completing any funding for that funding to the SEC. The report says the firm's co-founders are Stephen Marcus and Will Coffield. Techcrunch cited a pitch deck from the fund for its information, and says the first has invevsted $60M through "direct investments and special purpose vehicles."
