The Structure Group to Sell Software Suite to Atlanta Firm
Asset management applications publisher Ventyx announced Tuesday that it has agreed to acquire the software assets of Houston-based The Structure Group. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Founded in 1998, The Structure Group develops transaction and settlements management software for the deregulated power and natural gas industries. Its flagship product is the nMarket software suite, which Ventyx said it will combine with its energy portfolio management solutions in hopes of offering a comprehensive EPM platform that offers forecasting and portfolio planning, trading and risk management, unit commitment and dispatch, bidding and scheduling, market communications and portfolio performance analysis. Atlanta-based Ventyx noted that the transaction, which is subject to customary closing conditions, is expected to close in May.
