Bigcommerce Hires Product VP

Austin-based Bigcommerce, the venture backed startup developing e-commerce software for SMBs, said this morning that it has named Asok Boopathy as its Vice President of Product. Boopathy was most recently at PayPal, where the firm said he led the development of global multi-channel, cross-channel, and omni-channel retail strategy. Boopathy also has served at companies such as American Express. Bigcommerce, which was founded by Eddie Machaalani and Mitchell Harper, is backed by General Catalyst Partners.
