Blue Star Sports Acquires Pointstreak Sports Technologies
Dallas-based sport software developer Blue Star Sports has acquired Canadian software developer Pointstreak Sports Technologies, according to the company. Financial details of the acquisition were not announced. Pointstreak is a developer of real-time scoring, league administration and statistical systems for league-based sports organization. Blue Star Sports said it will use the acquisition to enhance and provide ac complete suite of products for the youth sports industry. Blue Star Sports is backed by Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and his family, Bain Capital Worldpay and Providence Equity. The acquisition is its second within the last few weeks, and follows the acquisition of youth sports software developer Bonzi last week and announcement of the company's funding.
