CacheIQ Acquired By NetApp
Austin-based CacheIQ, the developer of caching products aimed at the file-based storage market, has been acquired by network attached storage (NAS) leader NetApp. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. NetApp disclosed the acquisition in its earnings for the quarter, saying the acquisition will provide it with intellectual property that extends its capabilities to support nondisruptive operations for enterprise data center environments. CacheIQ was co-founded by Joel Trammell, Greg Dahl, and Keith Carpenter, and was based on the assets CacheIQ acquired from StorSpeed, the former Austin storage startup.
