D2Audio Acquired By Intersil

Austin-based D2Audio, a developer of digital amplifier ICs, has been acquired by Intersil Corporation. Intersil did not disclose financial terms of the deal. Intersil announced the acquisition late Monday, saying it will use the acquisition to expand its leadership position in the consumer market, and broaden its product portfolio. D2Audio was venture backed by Austin Ventures, Lightspeed Ventures, and Sevin Rosen Funds.
