Dell Acquires ASAP Software For $340M
Round Rock, Texas-based computer manufacturer Dell Inc. announced Wednesday that it has agreed to acquire ASAP Software, a Corporate Express subsidiary that provides IT products and services to businesses and government agencies. Pending regulatory approval and the usual closing conditions, Dell said it will purchase ASAP for some $340 million. The deal is expected to close later this quarter, Dell said. Founded in 1984, ASAP Software is based in Buffalo Grove, Ill.
