Dell Completes Purchase of Perot Systems Shares
Round Rock-based Dell said today that it has completed its tender offer for Perot Systems, as the firm moves closer to closing its acquisition of Perot. Dell said it will now own more than 90 percent of outstanding Perot System shares. Dell said it would buy Perot Systems in September, in a deal worth around $3.9 billion, creating a new unit called Dell Services. The new unit will employ more than 41,000, and have revenues of approximately $8 billion. The new unit is headed by prior Perot Systems CEO Peter Altabef, who becomes President of Dell Services.
