GlobalSCAPE Hires Sales VP

San Antonio-based GlobalSCAPE said today that it has named William Buie as its Executive Vice President of Sales. The firm, which develops wide area file services (WAFS) and FTP file transfer software, said Buie joins the firm from Fujitsu, and also has served at Symantec Corporation and IBM. Buie replaces Jeff Gehring, who the firm said left to pursue other opportunities. GlobaleSCAPE is the maker of CuteFTP and other software.
