GlobalSCAPE Acquires Availl

San Antonio, Texas-based GlobalScape has acquired Availl, a Massachusetts-provider of wide area file systems. GlobalScape is acquiring the firm for $9.65M, including $7.65M ni cash and an additional $2M in GlobalSCAPE stock. GlobalScape said that stockholders of Availl will also be entitled to $100,000 in cash earnout. Availl's products are used for accelerating remote file sharing and continuous backup of Windows servers.
