Infomart Dallas Acquired By Equinix In $800M Deal

Infomart Dallas, one of the largest, Internet interconnect hubs in the U.S., has been acquired by Equinix, a Silicon Valley-based data center operator, in a deal worth $800M, the two said this week. Infomart Dallas had been owned by ASB Real Estate Investments. Equinix said that approximately 50 Infomart employees and contractors will become employees or contractors of the company with the acquisition. Infomart Dallas has 1.6 million gross square feet, with current capacity of 11MW of power, and potential to develop an additional 40MW of capacity on land adjacent to the Infomart building. Equinix says the building generated approximately $50M in revenues in 2017, with approximately 45 tenants in the building.
