OpenKey Names Two VPs

Dallas-based OpenKey, which is developing keyless mobile entry standards for the hotel and hospitality industry, said today that it has named two new executives. The company said it has named Ryan Douglas as Vice President of Operations, and Brian Shedd as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Douglas previously had served at Expedia and Barton Creek Resort & Spa, and Shedd was previously at Mandalay Resort Group, Omnicom, and Calise Partners. OpenKey is working on creating a single standard for keyless entry, and is backed by a group of 12 hotel ownership and management companies.
