MetroPCS Communications Files For IPO

Dallas, Texas-based MetroPCS Communications, a provider of wireless broadband communication services, has filed for an IPO. MetroPCS said in a filing with the SEC that it is looking to raise up to $1.125B in the offering, which is being underwritten by Bear, Stearns & Co, Banc of America Securities, Merrill Lynch & Co., and Morgan Stanley. The firm is backed by Accel Partners, TA Associates, Madison Dearborn Capital Partners, and M/C Venture Partners.
