CoVi Adds Analytics Features
Austin, Texas-based CoVi Technologies has added video analytics features to the company's high definition video cameras, saying this week that the firm's new cameras have added the ability to detect, identify, classify and track objects in surveillance video. CoVi said that the video analytics capabilities are part of the company's new CoVi CVQ-2500 and CVQ-3500 MultiStream cameras, and can be used by security professionals to automate the monitoring process in video surveillance. CoVi said its software uses predetermined rules, such as a person crossing a virtual tripwire or an object disappearing from an area of interest, to generate alerts.
