Travelocity Unveils New Hotel-Shopping Tools

Travelocity, an online travel booking agent, announced Tuesday the introduction of several new features it believes will assist its customers with their purchases. Travelocity said its new "Destination Alerts' provide users with destination-specific updates, such as local festivals or severe weather. The company added that its “"Property Alerts" perform a similar function for customers looking to buy condominiums or vacation homes. And a new, 90-day, calendar-shopping tool should advise travelers of the most affordable days for staying at select hotels, Travelocity said. Based in Southlake, Texas, Travelocity is owned by Sabre Holdings Corporation.
