HelioVolt Adds Manufacturing, Supply VPs

HelioVolt Corp., a manufacturer of solar power components, revealed Wednesday that it has hired two executives to oversee manufacturing and operations. Larry Peruffo, formerly of Applied Materials, will serve as HelioVolt’\'s vice president of supply chain, while David Bowen, previously with Essilor Laboratories of America, joins HelioVolt as its vice president of manufacturing operations. Peruffo spent 24 years with Applied Materials, where he was most recently managing director of materials. At Essilor, Bowen was vice president of operations and technology. He also spent 12 years with Black & Decker. Founded in 2001 and headquartered in Austin, Texas, HelioVolt produces thin-film photovoltaic coatings for various substrates, and is venture backed by New Enterprise Associates.
