Investment Group Buys Syngence

A group of private investors announced Thursday afternoon that they have purchased Dallas, Texas-based Syngence LLC, a developer of electronic search and document management tools for the legal industry. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. The group, which said that it is led by former executives from Microsoft and Adobe, said they have renamed the firm Syngence Corporation. The new company's chairman is Johan Liedgren, an investor and former head of Microsoft's worldwide distribution and corporate licensing efforts.
