DataCert Adds $10M

Houston, Texas-based DataCert said today that it has raised an additional $10M in funding, in a Series E investment from SSM Partners. DataCert, which provides software used for IP spend and matter management, said that the financing will go towards accelerating the firm's market expansion in Europe, as well as to increase adoption of the product. Robert Covington and Jim Witherington of SSM Partners will join the firm's board as part of the funding. Covington will serve as a board observer, with Witherington with a board seat.
