Cirrus Logic Buys Apex Microtechnology
Austin, Texas-based Cirrus Logic said today that it has agreed to acquire Apex Microtechnology, a developer of precision high-power analog amplifiers, for $42M in cash. Tucson, Arizona-based Apex Microtechnology's products are used by industrial and aerospace electronic designers. According to Cirrus, Apex had quarterly revenues of $4-$5M, and employs approximately 90 people. Cirrus Logic is a provider of analog, mixed-signal, and embedded integrated circuits. The acquisition is expected to close by the end of August.
