Cirrus Logic Co-founder Hackworth Dies

Austin-based Cirrus Logic, which develops analog and mixed signal integrated circuits, said this morning that its Chairman and co-founder, Michael L. Hackworth, has passed away. Hackworth, who was 71, took Cirrus Logic public in 1989, and had stepped down as CEO back in February of 1999. Hackworth took the helms of Cirrus Logic in 1985 as its CEO.
