Hotels.com Adds Interactive Mapping Features
Lodging specialist hotels.com reported Wednesday that it has added interactive mapping capabilities to its Web site. The company said it partnered with deCarta and NAVTEQ to develop the new service. Hotels.com said the interactive mapping functionality will help customers obtain precise directions to specific hotel and resort locations. Customers can also use the service to determine walking distances and times or to identify key points of interest along the way. Headquartered in Dallas, hotels.com offers travel reservation services via the Web and telephone.
