Planview, Hitachi Pool IT Consulting Forces

Plainview, an independent provider of portfolio management services, reported Tuesday that it has formed a strategic alliance with Hitachi Consulting Corp., the international consulting arm of Hitachi Ltd. As part of the deal, Plainview said it will provide large enterprise organizations with executive, project and service portfolio management solutions while Hitachi will offer project management guidance and implementation services. The alliance's focus, Plainview said, is to help customers align their IT initiatives with business objectives through planning and optimization of their existing IT services. Founded in 1989, Plainview is headquartered in Austin, Texas.
