Global Rail Buys Software Title
Marlin, Texas-based Global Rail Systems Inc., a developer of railroad automation software, announced Monday that it has acquired Alstom Transport's Personal Traffic Master software system. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Global Rail explained that Personal Traffic Master is a platform for dispatching railyards, CTC and dark territory on main line and transit properties. Global Rail said it plans to modify the software and market it as TrackMaster, which would complement its existing YardMaster system.
