Avail Medical Products Acquired By Flextronics

Fort Worth, Texas-based Avail Medical Products, a company which designs and manufactures disposable medical devices, has been acquired by Flextronics. Flextronics, which provides electronic manufacturing services, did not disclose terms of the acquisition. Flextronics said that Avail is expected to generate approximately $250M in sales for the company in calendar 2007. Avail manufactures catheters, wound management, and drug delivery devices. Flextronics is headquartered in Singapore.
