Alereon Shows Reference Design

Austin semiconductor firm Alereon has released a new reference design along with partner DisplayLink, the firm said today. Alereon, which is developing semiconductors for Ultra Wideband (UWB), wireless USB and WiMedia, said the firms have released a reference design for using wireless USB to connect PCs to displays. The new design is intended to help manufacturers of equipment build their own wireless USB to video hardware. DisplayLink is a provider of network display chips based in Silicon Valley.
