Alereon Rolls Wireless USB Reference Design
Austin-based ultra-wideband USB chip maker Alereon said today that it has rolled out a new, reference design for a wireless USB hard drive. The new design was created in conjunction with SunPlusIT, a developer of controller ICs for the USB to SATA market. Alereon and SunPlusIT are targeting consumer electronic firms with the design, which is used for creating consumer products. According to the firms, the design was created in conjunction with Toshiba, which is developing a Wireless USB hard drive using the design.
